Genetiks Genetic Laboratory

Genetiks is a specialist genetic diagnostics laboratory and clinical centre located in Fulya, Istanbul. Sonraki Architecture completed the full interior design, renovation, and fit-out of the facility in 2017 — delivering a technically demanding healthcare environment that also prioritises the quality of the patient and staff experience.

Scope of works included: interior design and technical documentation, construction and renovation works, bespoke furniture manufacturing, joinery and partitioning solutions, and interior decoration. Genetic laboratory environments impose stringent constraints on material selection, cleanroom standards, durability, and service integration — all of which were addressed within the design and build process.

The spatial strategy separates clinical and laboratory zones from patient-facing areas, creating a clear and legible environment that supports both operational efficiency and a reassuring patient journey. Material choices prioritise hygiene performance and longevity without sacrificing the warmth and approachability expected in a patient-facing healthcare setting.

Genetiks demonstrates Sonraki's specialised competence in the design and delivery of healthcare and laboratory interiors in Istanbul — a technically demanding typology that requires both precise execution and human-centred design thinking.
